Kangasniemi High School
Overview
The High School Campus is located in Kangasniemi village and walking distance to the nearest food markets, bank and market square. The local bus stop center is next to the shops about 300 meters from the school.The health center is only one kilometer from our school and the facilities for student counselling and support are located in our school building. In our School Campus area there is a field for soccer, parkour and outdoor gym. In Kansis Center besides our High School there is the big sport hall and the canteen for lunch. Also the Kangasniemi library is located in Kansis Center.
Kangasniemi is situated between two bigger cities : 45 km to Mikkeli and 65 km to Jyväskylä.
There is a train connection from Helsinki to the nearest cities and the local transportation with buses is the easiest way to travel to Kangasniemi.
Our students typically apply to Jyväskylä University or JAMK University for Applied sciences after high school studies.

Study line - General study line
In general studies we offer the support of the special education teacher and study counselor and for the leisure time the support of the special life coach. In sport studies there are many local sport teams and we work in co-operation with the coaches and the county sport instructor (ringette, ice hockey, uni hock, track and field, ultimate, orienteering, riding) with our subject teachers

One apartment to share with 2 student 400 € , with 3 student to share 500- 600 € (Euros)
Free: laptop, lunch, learning materials, textbooks, e-learning environment, student healthcare, tutor, or group study for international students, friend families for each student from abroad
Accommodation
There are some rent apartments to be shared with 2-3 roommates located in walking distance from our High School. The apartments are fully equipped with house hold and basic furniture. The grocery stores are on the way from school campus to the dormitory. For more information in Finnish click here.
